The Love Bug
[Current Mood |pissed offpissed off]

I am fed up.

I am sick of being trodden on by my own staff. I found out today exactly what they think of me, and I'm not having it.

I've just sent out an email which could cause one or two of them to leave, but I don't care.

I'm not a bad manager, I'm just too soft... which is why they don't listen to what I say.

But they'll listen this time.

erk :(

I thought you'd got all that sorted.

If they dont respect you, they shouldn't be working for you!

hope you get it all sorted out

*hugs*

Go Dave!
You're right, they shouldn't try to walk all over you, I hope the emails sort things out one way or another. :)

I know from what my dad sayes about his staff, and a friend about his how hard it is...

Nevermind how nice a person you are, not everybody will like you - but people should respect their co-workers, its a matter of professionalism.

From what I know of you, I am sure you are a great boss.

I can't imagine you for one moment as anything other than a positive, forward-thinking manager. I wish there were more managers like you in the world. I've only met a very few who I rate - one of them happened to be the IT Director for a large national newspaper... at the job interview, the first thing I said to him was "So you're a Dilbert fan too?", pointing at his office wall.

Back to my point. If people run over you, the best way to make them respect you (no matter what they really think of you) is to give them the short, sharp shock.

From what I know of you, you sound like a good boss...I'd far prefer a boss who's a bit on the soft side rather than someone who's imposes their opinion or views without listening to anyone.

I guess some people will never like their boss, no matter who they are.

Hope the email brings them to their senses :)
