For those of you who don't know what I am referring to, it was the last day of Big Brother... and more specifically, the 10 minutes that followed Craigs triumphant exit from the Big Brother house.
I started watching Big Brother half way thru week 4, so I just caught the start of the Nicholas scandal. I didn't really have much of an opinion on the housemates at that time. But by the time the Nick scandal came to its climax, Craig and Anna were on the top of my list to win
Then about 3 weeks ago, I made the decision to support Anna to win the prize.
All that aside, I don't think anyone was prepared for what Craig announced when he actually left the house. He went up to Joanne, an 18 year old lass with Downs Syndrome, and hugged her. When Davina McCall asked Craig what he was going to do with the prize money, he announced that every penny of it was going towards a fund to help Joanne get to America in order for her to have a heart operation that she needs.
At that point, I suddenly felt an overwhelming love for Craig, for his act that was so selfless... proof positive that he was not in this game for the money.
The thing that really got to me though, is that he obviously knew what he was going to do from the moment he walked *into* the house... so I suppose you could call his victory somewhat of a miracle, you know?
