BBC News 24 are starting to annoy me.

The first or second question they ask anyone they interview, is whether they (the interviewee) think that this might be a terrorist act. For heaven's sake, there are hundreds of more plausible explanations that that.

I also wish they'd stop playing the same piece of footage over and over and over again!

NBC keeps repeating that same footage too. But they don't say its not live. Thats one of my big peeves. If its not live, tell me so!

Is there any idea how long its going to take until the debris hits? Or has it hit somewhere already? I haven't heard anything about that. I guess its possible that the debris could be falling for nearly 3 hours now. But that seems like a really long time.

Sick world

I cant believe how sick some people can be, i just read on fark.com that someone has found debris in their garden and has it for sale on Ebay.

This is just sad that for some people the first thing they think of is personal profit.

I just found out that this is a fake (the guy is in germany) but that someone thought this would be funny is just as sick.

There are people posting jokes on Usenet already. I posted my disgust at this, and then got berated due to the fact that not only the shuttle crew have died today. People really miss the point...

Yeah, same here... though now they are starting to show pieces that have been discovered on the ground. I have it on in the background just in case but I can't watch the break-up anymore. It was the same with Challenger.

The terrorist attack theory is idiotic... it was 200,000 feet up. A full-fledged missile might be able to take it out but certainly not one of those shoulder-fired units.

I suspect that the damage caused during lift-off was more than NASA understood.
