Jeff was involved in a traffic accident at about 21:30 on Tuesday night, and has sadly died.

He was my flatmate for 6 years, and some of you may remember his as an usher at our wedding.

He was a externally happy bloke, with one heck of a lot of friends and people who loved him. But he did have a lot of inner loneliness and sadness. Fortunately, none of that will bother him any more. He is in a better place now.

Hazel (our Minister) and Jenny (church steward and close family friend) have just left. They got here shortly after 2100 and we've been chatting about life, death and emotions.

Before they left, Hazel led us in a prayer of thanks for Jeff's life, as well as our own, and asking for strength and guidance over the next few days. I swear I felt an arm go around me, and even from my position sitting on the floor, I knew that no-one had got up and moved towards me.

After a beautiful prayer like that, you would think that I would at least have offered them something to drink!! :-P

I feel much calmer now, thanks to them and Caroline.

Thank you to everyone for your kind words. You don't know how much they (and you) mean to us.
