Down Memory Lane... [Apr. 22nd, 2003|03:25 pm]

Yesterday, Caroline and I took a nostalgic trip into my earlier years.

I lived in and around Aldershot from 1983 (aged 11) until about 1993 (aged 21). We've already decided that we will go back there at some point in the not-too-distant future, as we were only there for a couple of hours. Hence the reason that I didn't take as many pictures as I wanted to.

Still, there was a lot of memories that came flooding back, mostly fond ones. There were a couple of not so great memories, but I look upon it that if certain things didn't happen, I certainly wouldn't be where I am now.

Have a nosey! :o)

LOL, I might've guessed you'd have something to say about that! ;o)

Ah yes, the wonderful Mr Ellenden. Pure & Mechanics. Ahh, what fun that was for the year I did it! Pure & Stats was much more fun, 'cos at least Mr Jordan had a sense of humour!!

I'll never forget the time we showed them both the "adventure" we'd done, where you quoted me as saying "F**k off!" to Mr Jordan. I nearly died there and then!!

Had I thought about it, I should have let you know we were coming over, I'm sure I heard a pub calling my name as I drove into Farnham. Caroline and I fully intend to head back over that way later on in the year, most likely shopping in Aldershot. We'll have to get together for a pint or six, yeah? :o)

Re: that driveway looks familiar

Hmmm... that narrows it down a tad... there was only a few people who ever came to my house in Tongham. But it was a long time ago.

You'll have to give me more clues, I'm afraid! :o)

Re: that driveway looks familiar

Good (educated) guess!

No Dave I don't (hence the anonymous post) have a livejournal account.

I had to chuckle when I discovered that SpecDrum :)

Cheers,
Al.
