The Love Bug
I've just received our new ADSL Router here at work. But what surprised me was the size of the box it arrived in.
The box containing the actual router is approx 325x200x75.
The packaging box is approx 600x400x150 - almost 16 times the size!!!
(Edit: It's actually 8 times the size, not 16. Thanks hyzenflay!)
Surely they must have had a box slightly smaller than that!!
Hey, when you're done with that box, can I have it please? I've got my childhood books out of the loft and I want to store them down here!
Yes, of course! I'll have to find somewhere to store it though, and thus I'll have to charge you a daily storage rate. :oP
I suppose this means that we ought to come over and see you again then, huh? ;o)
Well, it would be nice to see you again, you know... maybe we'll all be in better fettle this time around, *HUGS* we could even go over to Stonham Barns this time!
And hey - I found a box, so you may do as you wish with that one you have there. So thanks for offering to house it for me!
Was it a "carrier's default box"? I bought some stuff from Dabs recently which was very small, but delivered by parcel force in some standard packaging, which was a helluva lot bigger :-) The remainder was stuffed with those large anti-stress devices.
Yeah, this was Dabs too. It's a large oblong box with 'chopped corners', making it essentially octagonal.
Something like that.
Yep, same as mine :-) I had bought a router, among other things also.
did I contemplate how much stupidly bigger the box was.... no.... I contemplated the maths.
is it 16 times? my calculation was around 8 times... but I'm probably wrong...... (well my calculation, was 2 times at first, but that was silly and wrong, so then each of the sides is around twice as big, so 2*2*2=8 but I'm sure I'm wrong, and being nit-pciky and annoying....) I'll just go hide in this corner over here... because I'm sure I should be doing something with cubics maybe.... *shrugs*
Actually no, you're absolutely right. It is 8 times, not 16! :o)
