The Love Bug
Like hell! We've just watched this film, and I'm utterly disgusted by it. I'll post more about this later, but suffice it to say that I don't think I'll be eating at a fast food 'restaurant' in a hurry. I would definitely recommend you go and see this film though!|
It's not showing down here anymore.
I'll wait until it comes out on dvd.
Is it easy to summarise what it makes to be bad about fast food, specifically McDonalds, in the film?
I've not seen the film, but did wonder if it was going to be heavily biased and distort the facts (something these docufilms tend to be prone to).
Is that the film about the guy who ate solely at McDs to prove something?
I was intrigued by the concept but still have not got around to watching it ...one man with a simple mission. 1 month on McD's fast food and if they ask 'shall I supersize that' the answer will be yes.
Grins it has been credited with causing the introduction of the salad range at McD's and some of their rivals.
Personally, I think ...everything in moderation. I tend to avoid fast food whilst out (although like a good fry up) ...however, if I can get subway then that is my fast food of choice atm :)
You should read Fast Food Nation
and Not On The Label
, I think you'll find them very interesting.
I haven't seen Super Size Me personally, but I assume that there is more depth to it than "if you eat McDonalds for a month you get fat" - because I think that's pretty obvious!
Well I work in Mcdonalds at eat there on my break 4-5 times a week
Since working at McDonalds I've lost almost 2 stone in weight, and thats without eating the healthier salads plus range
it shouldn't be surprising that eating at mcdonalds all the time for a month would not be healthy (and probably devastating).
but in moderation it is fine. I eat there once every two weeks probably, no big deal. heh
