The Love Bug
|||||Linkin Park - Krwlng (Mike Shinoda ft. Aaron Lewis)||]|
Tried it last night, pretty damn good.
Any other opinions?
It's uber simple and clean, which is good. Unfortunately most novice users who'd appreciate all that aren't already GMail users (tending to still be on HotMail or something), and Google Talk doesn't seem to let you sign up for an account when you install it.
That said, I'm still recommending Skype. It's clean, cross platform (Win, Mac, Linux, PDA), pretty clean itself, and lets you do file transfers too. Undoubtedly Google Talk will catch up, and, sure, you can use the Jabber protocol on other OS to connect to Google Talk, but with a Windows only client for the talk stuff it's a bit of a waste of time really.
wroks fine here :D although I tried to send a file on jabber but didnt go through
Not tried it, I have enough IM clients for the moment!

we had hours of fun at work with it yesterday
I have had a txty chat this morning with a mate in Aus and we are hoping to test out the voip next week ... I like it ..
Update from our conversation (!) last night - Jimmy signed up for Gmail so I reckon we'll be talking online instead of making phone calls when we're at home, once he's back online.
But I thought it was good fun and if they can add a webcam facility as well - it'll be superb!
