He'd been suffering from MS for almost 20 years, and a heart attack took his life. I'd seen a fair few of him films, but never really appreciated the 'infantile' combination of him and Gene Wilder. Superman III and Brewster's Millions remain the films that I will always associate him with.
2005 is not a good year... we've lost cinematic, entertainment, comedy and political icons. Perhaps none more than any other year, but this year seems to be the year where the people who have affected me most, and people whom I have grown up with, have left.
