The Love Bug
What the hell has happened to the format of Who Wants To Be A Millionaire??

  • The theme tune has been laid over a cheesy, crappy drum beat...
  • The money ladder has been changed to 12 questions and they've changed the amounts...
  • The screen graphics have been changed from clean and clear to fancy with shading...

Basically, I don't like it and it should be changed back.

I agree, the new format is pants.
The theme tune and background music they use sounds really electronic and , well, crap compared to the original which added to the suspense when the contestent was trying to figure out the answer - the new version is just annoying.

It's like they've got some new kid in charge of producing it who is easilly impressed with shaded graphics & stuff.

The fact that there are now only 12 questions isn't that bad IMO but I think there is also one fewer 'safe level' or at least it's now more likely that contestants will drop back down to £1,000 which I think is a bit unfair.
Actually thinking about it, I think the fact that they've got rid of most of the easy questions is a mistake, as although it might speed up gameplay, the early questions may give contestants some confidence and relax them a bit so they have more chance of thinking clearer and answering the higher questions.
