Mobile Post: Petrol Prices... [Nov. 9th, 2007|09:11 am]

I have just paid £52 to fill up my car, at 98.9p/litre. That is the most I have ever paid on a single tank of petrol.

Madness.

Edit: I apologise for being thoughtless towards those of you who live further south and pay a heck of a lot more per litre than here!

Yeah, the cheapest that I've seen here is Tesco's at £1.01 a litre - and that was two days ago, so it may be worse now.

all the petrol around here is at least 1.01. I've seen it at 1.03 too.

I'm dreading filling mine up but it's going to need doing next week.

I haven't looked how much petrol is round here in the past few weeks, though I did pass a rural station a while back which was selling all fuel at 99.9 as their board can't cope with any larger numbers so maybe I'll try back there if the prices are higher everywhere else :D

I may seriously consider diesel when I change my car - modern ones (especially turbodiesels) are very close, sometimes even better than petrol in performance.

My local BP is at 99.9/litre (97.9 at tescos, but that's false economy). Cost me over £70 to fill up yesterday. Damn 406 with its massive tank...
