|Well, that was a nice surprise...

The Love Bug
I’ve just been watching The X Factor repeat on ITV2. No, I don’t usually watch the programme... it was just on. Simon had just introduced “Same Difference”, and the pre-amble (you know, the bit between Simon’s introduction and the act performing a seriously poor version of “Nothing’s Gonna Stop Us Now”) was happening.
Imagine my surprise and delight when I realised what they were playing in the background - a very decent acoustic instrumental version of one of Linkin Park’s best songs, “Crawling”. I heard the ditty at the beginning and thought, “hey, that’s a good tune,” then, “hang on, I recognise that,” to “bloody hell, it’s Crawling!”
So, The X Factor isn’t all that bad after all! Don’t get me wrong, some of the act this year are pretty dire, but at least the production crew have a decent taste in music.
Hang on, isn’t that a contradiction?
In other news, I managed to fit the line, “I bring you a shrubbery” into general conversation today.
