I recon that's a good first attempt.
You have got a good radio voice but yea, as you pointed out, watch the "ummm's" & "errr's" :P
I know it's a first show but maybe have a few topics to talk about for the next one.
I'll look forward to the next one :)
Thanks for that, Marcus. One of the regular features in forthcoming episodes will be "UmmWatch" - that covers both of your suggestions in one hit.
Not bad, eh?
Thanks for the comment and encouragement! :o)
Well, you know my views on it, not bad for a first attempt, kinda reminds me of the radio show Nic and I did a couple of years back!
Least between the two of us we got the RSS feed sorted!
Thanks mate... although it doesn't look like the feed is completely fixed.

Yes, you do have the voice for it. I can't remember ever hearing you do a voice LJ post, but I really enjoy your British accent.
Thanks Gary! What exactly is it about the British accent that you (and Northern Americans in general) seem to find so fascinating?? ;o)

You know, it's hard to say. I also like a good Australian accent. I come from a part of the US where we don't have much of an accent, although I have had a few people say that I do have one.
See, I don't think I have an accent at all... but I suppose that to people who have an accent different to my own, my accent will appear much more pronounced.
I think I know what the reason is, and I've already requested to get it fixed. Bear with me! :o)
I can't get the feed to work in Winamp either. "Invalid link" it tells me.
Good work though Dave, I'll download the MP3 and have a listen next week! Looking forward to it :-)
Yeah, it's a paranoid security setting on the hosting I use. I've already requested to get it removed.
Thanks Mark :o)
When does The Random Three make a return then?
And having listened, you definitely have a voice for radio! Sounds like you're relatively well seasoned in radio full stop though.
That Moloko track is one of my all time favourites, so glad to hear that's on the Podsafe Music Network (which I've rather naughtily ignored to-date on my podcast!).
I picked up a weird issue with your voice vs. volume, almost as if you were turning away from the microphone, as your voice would frequently jump around in level. Just in case there's a technical issue there?...
Yeah, the software I'm using has a built-in mic compressor which - as you can hear - either needs heavily tweaking or switching off.
As there isn't an 'off' switch, I might have to put the threshold to the extreme, so that the compressor never has a chance to kick in. However I do it, I think it's going off anyway.
I'll try it with the compressor off for this week and see how it works. Because I'm doing these shows in a single take without any real post-production (other than trimming dead air from the beginning), I won't really know how it sounds until the show is finished... hence the vocal last week was quite bad. I'll just have to play with it and see what happens.
Thanks for your comments Mark, they're much appreciated.
