You're never going to believe this!! [Aug. 14th, 2001|06:48 pm]
The Love Bug
[Current Mood |shaking]

I was driving to Britwell this evening, and this kid threw one those little firecrackers at my car. You know the ones... little white things that you throw at the floor and they bang?

Anyway, I didn't realise what it was, and braked rather suddenly. Loud screech and blue smoke. I got out of the car and walked back to the place it happened, hoping for an apology. Instead, I was greeting by this huge bulk of a man, demanding to know why I scared the s**t out of his children. I tried to explain that one of his children threw an explosive at my car - which incidentally had the passenger window open - and all I got was, "That's no f***ing excuse. Go on, f**k off!"

I was fuming.

But tell me, and tell me honestly, was I in the wrong by what I did?

Oh good God. The fact that the man used that sort of language shows how much effort he has put into bringing up his kids properly. You were in no way wrong in what you did. Any responsible parent would have apologised for their child's behaviour and this guy practically condoned it! There are some people in the world who really shouldn't breed. Hope you're OK and not too shaken. *hug*

What was wrong was that you entered a white-trash zone. Within this zone, you can expect anything to be acceptable to parents. You know, kids throwing stuff at your cars and parents thinking the sun shines out of their respective bottom(s), 12 year olds tarting themselves up to try and look about 17 and (a new one to me) kids sharing a cigarette with their parents..

It's how the other half live, I suppose?

you should have lamped him although if you described him as a 'huge bulf of a man', then he must have been pretty scary... :)

The phrase "brick s**thouse" comes to mind. Only this one had 2 storeys, a conservatory and double garage. You know??

Hell no, you did exactly what I and most everyone else that I know would do. Hey, there. I'm "ghost dancer", my lj name, and a friend of Misterx's. I swung by your lj and just wanted to say, "Hi". What's up?

Y'ello Ghost Dancer! Thanks for your opinion :-)

Can you do me a favour... would you ask misterx very nicely if he'd add me to his friends list. I have lots of stuff to say about his LiveJournal client, but I can't 'cos he's got his comments set to friends only!

Pop back soon!

Stupid F___ing kids of today

Kill them all!
I had kids through a water bomb at my car a few months back. Stupid little evil scum. Is it me, or were kids never like that when I was their age ?! Maybe I just had a sheltered life. Anyway... I emergency braked and ran after the little b_stard who was on rollerblades and kept yelling "It wasn't me!" at me! Lets just say his parent was more on my side of things. [He was in the local shop at this time and came out to see what was happening re: screeching tires 'n' all].

I lose faith in the next generation more and more each day.

Other kids have threatened to throw small objects at cars as they are going past - they seem to think it is funny.

Back to life I guess!
