Insurance Company 1
Been with them for 5 years
Up for renewal
Premium for 2001/2002: £690.99

Insurance Company 2
Never used them before
Brand New Policy
Premium for 2001/2002: £447.00

Where is the justice in that?
Whatever happened to customer loyalty??

Oh, I went with 2! :-))

I think your new one is the same price or very close to what I'm paying. I've been driving less than a year too (just!) :)

Insurance companies these days seem to have no loyalty to their customers, so why should we have any loyalty to them!

After 20 years with a company here, they pretty much told us that they would not insure our house, if we didn't replace our roof within their time table, even though it was not damaged, but merely worn.

We got an other insurance that was willing to work with us!

did you phone up the 1st company and tell them what you were being offered from company 2?

there's still room for haggling, even in today's society :)

Matt, I did try, but they'd closed by the time I managed to get back through to them... (shame that!)

And besides, they'd messed me around enough.
And quite frankly, I was bored with them.

My premiums have been progressively going in an upwards direction at the same rate as my no-claims bonus. I can't quite work that one out, you know?

2 hours on the phone to Frizzell vs 5 minutes on the net. directline.com won, I'm afraid.
